Hello to all of you Commandos fans!
As you might have noticed we have moved to a new domain now becoming part of the revora community,
I hope you will keep supporting the Commandos community as you have done so far!
Keep up the good work guys!

what consequences does this have? will anything change?

A lot of things will change, most of them for the better, I hope:
- These forums will be closed but you will get a new section at Revora (
http://forums.revora.net/index.php?showforum=2302). We are running IPB 2.3 and soon 3.0 so that should be an improvement already.
- The Commandos HQ site will now have the possibility to give mods and other Commandos projects their own website (e.g. supermod.commandoshq.net), including FTP access, MySQL, SVN, etc.
- The CHQ site, forums and all of its hosted projects will be cross-linked with all other Revora sites through our "Network Bar", giving you more exposure
- We have a lot of custom technology that you can use, such as displaying news from the forums directly to the site.
- Revora has a pretty big and active community so there is a good chance you'll find other projects you're interested in or new people to join Commandos modding

Will the posts be moved?
I would like to have a SVN access for my CommDevToolkit.
If there are other people to join the project, it will goes faster.

I don't think moving the posts will be possible technically without an extreme amount of work. But we should be able to leave those forums up as a read-only archive so you can always come back if you need to take a look at an old post. I'll check that with GMC.Phantom as soon as we've made further progress.
Meanwhile, you should go to here:
http://forums.revora.net/index.php?act=Reg and sign up and then create your new threads here
http://forums.revora.net/index.php?showforum=2302 where I've copied your whole current forum layout.

when will this forum close, or locked (or whatever seem to be happen to it)? the new forum is still empty. will the link "Forum" on the main site redirect us there instead of here, or will there be an "Old forum" section, or the knowledge base will be collected on a page with tools, pictures, tutorials, links posted here in the past few years?
may we expect some "official" statement about this on the main page or in this forum?

I don't know yet, I need to hear back from Phantom first before I do too much, he's the boss around here after all. I'm not sure how soon that will be though because he seemed to have some problems with his internet connection last time he wrote to me.
The new forums are still empty because none of you have posted there yet ;-)
I know they look very plain at the moment but I don't want to edit them too much without Phantom's consent. However, feel free to post and reply to new topics there because posts in this forum can't be copied.
I think it would be best to collect the information here and then write it on the site. Or we could set up a Wiki for you so you can write and edit it together (probably the better idea). You guys tell me what you prefer and I'll do it for you.
In any case, I want to leave these forums up as read-only so we can be sure that no information you collected or created is lost.
