Problem Installing BEL :: Commandos HQ

Hi, I've just brought the new release of all of the commandos games on one disk. I've have managed to install all of the games except for BEL. When I try to install the game I get an error message say:

InstallShield Engine EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close..

What could be the problem? I have downloaded the patch but I'm not sure how to use it, any help would be great :D.

Also the same thing happened when I tried to install a very old copy of BEL.

hi,
i wasn't able to install commandos bel too (using vista). so i copied the folder 'comandos' from the install disc to my hdd. you'll need some registry entries in order to save/load your game progress (i'll post them later, i have them on my other pc).
hope it works with your copy of commandos too.

Hey I've copied the beh comandos folder from the disk to my desktop, when I try to install it there it will not work. What should I do?

is there a comandos.exe in the folder? (there also should be the folders datos,mplayer,output,video) if not, look for them in the comandos folder from your very old copy of bel.

Yes there is, it has a grenade for its icon.

if the game doesn't start after double-clicking comandos.exe from the disc, i have no more ideas how to run bel :( i'm sorry!
maybe you have to update installshield.

your windows xp32-64bit,vista32-64bit, ???

its windows xp thats all i know :S, i also tried a patch from the main site, i copyed the commandos game folder and replaced the files, burnt them all to cd. It began to install this time however it then said it was for windows 98 only and stoped installing =/.

Also ive find a link where i can download the trial and also a crack for it. However I don't know how to get the crack to work. If anyone would like to try and give it a go heres the link:

i only seem to get 1 of the crack files :S. and its in an unreadable format

I just get an unreadable file called commandos, perhaps its a zip folder my computer is not reading? What do you get when you download it?
