I've read a previous thread mentioning that XP Pro is required to run BEL.
Unfortunately, I just have XP Home.

In fact, I have no problem installing the game.
The real problem, I suppose, comes from the movie clips.

Whenever a movie clip (e.g. the "EIDOS" logo before the game start or the black & white films depicting the historic background) is played during the game, the screen goes blank(dark) but I can hear the sound effects & the narrative.  The program doesn't respond to my mouse clicks or keystokes.

I've tried executing the BEL program without the CD.  It's perfectly fine.
I can go to the Main Menu, where I can load some old saved games (saves that are almost 10 years old, haha).
I can play those saved games without problem.

However, when I want to start a new game, the program requires me inserting the CD... and after that, a video is triggered and I encounter the problem I mentioned before.

Would anybody help me, please?

Thanks in advance!
